About Us

The Emory Economics Review is Emory University’s social sciences literary publication. At the EER, our mission is to promote the discussion of contemporary economic and social issues through the publication of our writers’ content. Our articles and other content are available through our website, Instagram, and our annual print magazine.

EER aims to produce high quality articles, primarily relating to the field of economics, with two key objectives:

  1. Promoting the social sciences within our community by educating the greater Emory student body and generating insightful discussion amongst our members.

  2. Fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in the with members from other fields and backgrounds (such as political science and public health), and generating greater interest in business and economics.

Our guiding values (the three Cs):

  1. Collaboration - practicing humility and seeking to learn from others.

  2. Curiosity - pursing knowledge and scholarship.

  3. Celebration - advocating for diversity of thought and experience within the Emory community.

As of 2024, the EER is re-chartered under the Emory University College Council. We continue to maintain close ties to the Department of Economics, which graciously funds our website.
